I finally figured out how to post music on my blog! I wanted to share why I chose the songs I did - these songs inspire me, they are either about being yourself (Unwritten - VERY cool song and appropriate for my journey) or loving someone, and for me it's how I feel about my girls.

Baby B&W

More B&W processing. This is Aidan again; I processed 4 B&W images of this little guy and each time I was breathless with each step, he's just so beautiful. His mom asked me to take his 6 month pictures, I can't wait! After processing more of his pictures today I've got good ideas for the shoot. We need to get his whole long backside with some bare tush and his tiny little toes.

Mason and Laney

This is Mason and his sister Laney. Mason and Rachel "met" in the infant room of our their first daycare when Rachel was 6 months old and Mason a tiny 12 weeks. Mason's mama and I have been friends ever since, and I'm so grateful to her! Not only has she been a steadfast friend over the years but our kids have gotten closer over time. Laney and Claire play together quite often and have become good buddies. They are always looking out for each other.

Thank you to Mason and Laney's mama for letting me take endless pictures of her precious babies, especially Laney - Laney's too little to really care that I've always got a camera in her face. Unfortunately since I'm still pretty green I've had to toss many of them, but I've got a few keepers.

Mason and Laney, I'm looking forward to more photo ops! Unfortunately it looks like Mason has Rachel's Photography Syndrome, he hides when I point the lens at him. Chocolate, Mason??

These are a few more from our beach photo shoot in our living room. The girls desperately wanted me to bring in some sand but that wasn't gonna happen.

B&W

Messing with B&W a bit. I tried a few versions on this and I'm sure I'll have more after I get more practice under my belt.

This was from today while having a "beach" shoot - I nailed a white sheet to the wall, got out our bright pink inner tube, and the girls put on swim suits. Claire being Claire went bananas over the inner tube and of COURSE wanted to change her clothes (usually she changes into 3 pairs of PJs throughout the day). Rachel lasted maybe 10 minutes and then her bathing suit got "itchy". She's getting great at coming up for excuses for not posing. :)

Aidan

I am so lucky to have been able to photograph this BEAUTIFUL baby thanks to the sweetest new mom I've ever known! Aidan has the most incredible smile and it comes out every time he's looking at his mom. He only has eyes for her, that's for sure. And who wouldn't?!

I hope to photograph Aidan again as my skills improve. He's an incredibly photogenic little guy! Thanks Aidan and mommy!

Breathtaking....

It's been quite awhile since my last post... busy with photography class, the girls, etc etc. I've been working on pp using CS3 so it's been fun! I'm not sure why the images have different skin tones but I'll work on that. I also figured out how to put on a watermark, COOL!

I am lucky enough to have the two most beautiful subjects in the world, even if sometimes I have to bribe them with Hershey's kisses or more webkinz time.
