Family Sneek Peek!

Meet S, the handsome young man in the picture. S reminded me very much of my daughter - exploring the flowers, bugs, a nature kinda guy. He had been to this location many times with his family and you could tell, he knew all the places to go. Sweet T had the cutest cheeks I've seen in awhile. She was so even tempered making cute raspberry noises and being totally unfazed when big brother smothered her with wet kisses. I loved how T looked at me - cautious, yet curious, communicating with her furrowed brows that I'd better watch out, she's got her eye on me :)

Growing Boy!

These images represent summer - The bright emerald green of spring's growth, yellow dandelions, the sweet sweet boy running around with his shoes off, cool grass between his toes (even though mom and I made him :), overalls and sunshine. Summer is finally here!! Love you, A & T :)

Grandma's Chair

I've got a shooting (photography) buddy!! We have been having tons of fun, I can't wait to scout out more locations with her. For this one I found an old red building and plopped Grandma's chair in the grass. The top three images are my girls "cooperating"...

Session with my girls

I have more trouble photographing my girls than anyone I've ever photographed... they are SO sick of me and my bribes have all run out :) I put them in "fancy" dresses (recognize Rachel's first communion dress?), took them to one of my favorite locations, and bribed them with a HUGE sucker at the end of the session. Rachel did OK, but Claire was all over town, I don't think she sat for 30 seconds straight. When I tried to get the two of them to sit Claire proceeded to tackle Rachel who was trying so hard to sit quiet and smile for mom. I hoped to get some cute images with the huge suckers but I think they had those things to their open mouths the entire time they held them between their grubby fingers. Oh well, at least I got a few :)

Baby Isaiah

Wow - this baby has the deepest darkest eyes I've ever seen. And I must be in love with bebe mouths because his was as scrumptious as Olivia's (previous post)! During the images with mama she was rockin and a rockin away, it was so sweet and precious. I hated to tell mama to sit quiet so we could get some still shots, she was just doing her thing! Mama, can you come back over for a visit please, just so I can spend the whole time holding little Isaiah??

Baby Olivia

Olivia. Don't you just LOVE that name? Mama said she wanted to think of a classical actresses name and it fits Olivia so well. Her features perfectly fit her face, tiny blue eyes, tiny heart shaped mouth, tiny little nose... tiny tiny tiny. I think mama has classical beauty as well, the image of her looking into the camera is one of my favorites to date. You can see where Olivia got her gorgeous eyes. Daddy is outnumbered in this family - Olivia is the 3rd daughter for Dad.

A Glimpse Into the Future....

Today was Rachel's first communion. She looked so lovely and sweet walking down the aisle, I saw visions from 15 years into the future when she will walk down the aisle as one lucky man's bride. Wow, how do they grow before your very eyes? When does it happen, when they are sleeping? Is it when you turn your head for just a moment? I swear when I look into her eyes she's still my tiny girl sleeping the the crib, but then she backs away, rolls her eyes, and rides off on her scooter. I know she's only mine for awhile....

Blog Update!

Welcome spring! It’s been a long and cold winter; I am soooo grateful to see some green covering the ground and blooming in the trees. Now I’m ready for some colorful flowers!

As I mentioned in an earlier post I took a few months off. However during that time I am proud to have been a part of the fundraising efforts for Jordan Creek Elementary and the Creative Center for Young Children. In February of this year I donated a portrait session and complimentary 8x10 with 100% of those profits going toward those organizations. I am grateful to be a part of those organizations who nurture our children and future leaders.

Maternity

Hello everyone! It's been awhile since my last post but I'm here!! This is one of my lovely former co-workers and her sweet husband. They were my first couples maternity session and we had a great time! It was so easy and comfortable working with them even during some intimate posing. She's got such warmth and confidence, and look at those incredible eyes! I kept wanting to get in close and take close up shots of her face she was so compelling. His adoration for her was apparent from the beginning the way he gazed at her during her individual shots. During the couples portion it was clear to me how in love they are; what a warm sweet couple :) Thanks for allowing me to photograph your memories. And congrats on your new baby!

Little Marlee is here

Sweet baby Marlee is here, congratulations T and J!! I was honored to photograph this little miracle only a week after she was born. She's got beautiful eyes, just like her mama, and just the perfect amount of dark hair on her head. Also on the top of her head was a perfect swirl of hair. In spite of a little cold she was very mild tempered, such a sweet and easy going baby. Unlike most babies I've met she liked to sprawl out rather than curl up, already a free spirit it seems. Her big brothers are going to have to watch out for this little cutie.

Sweet Maternity

Here are more of the sweet precious mama who is expecting in the next week or so. Didn't I tell you she has gorgeous eyes?!?! Look at that close up of her; adults deserve to have pictures of them, too. We are always taking pictures of our kids to record how beautiful they are and we deserve it, too! I hope T looks at these and sees how gorgeous she is, if she doesn't know it already. Can't wait to hear from you, T, to hear about the arrival of that sweet little blessing!

Beautiful Mama

This is T, a gorgeous, sweet, kind mama. The tiny little one on the way is a girl who will soon (if not already - I'm quite a bit late posting these) join two big brothers. T was my first maternity client; she was so awesome to work with! Not only is she absolutely stunning (check back later to get a view of her amazing eyes) but so patient and sweet. Thank you sooooo much, T, for allowing me to come into your home and record such a personal and memorable time in your life. I hope to see that bebe' soon!
